Dixie the Dog needs a home

DIXIE is a 5 yr old "Valley" Bulldog who is given up when her family couldn't keep up with her medical expenses ( she had a skin condition/infection which had gotten out of control). Dixie was best friends with the 16-year-old girl in the family but she is on trusting of new people and would do best in an adult only home. Dixie was sheltered in the trailer park where she lived and needs a family can get her out and about  to experience things the dogs love – hiking, swimming, sniffing about. A family who can boost her self-confidence and will not limit her life to the "big backyard"   Dixie is a little portly and we have her on a weight-loss program as she waits for her spay appointment in October. We anticipate she will be ready for adoption mid October 2016. Dixie will also be vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested and will have her presurgical blood work run. Dixie is a sweet sweet girl gets along with other dogs. Once she bonds with you, she will have your heart! Adoption $200.
